A busy weekend .....
Saturday was the Annual Firefighters Competition for Union County.  Johnny took Keith and Jacob with him early Saturday morning to ride in the parade of firetrucks.  He ended up participating in the events.  Unionville Fire Department won 2 out of 3 team events and they won overall in the whole competition.  My men were kind of excited....this makes the 2nd year in a row to win overall!!!  Sorry....I don't have any firefighting pics to share with you but they had a great time anyway!

Saturday night Kimberly competed in the 46th Annual Granite Quarry Fiddler's Convention.  She entered the "Most Promising" category for ages 12-16 and she was nominated the "Champion"!!!
Kimberly with Ronnie Hatley (our favorite music teacher )

Kimberly plays mandolin but when you enter the "Most Promising" category you are up against all kinds of instruments including banjo, guitar, fiddle and even some vocalists.  She had some pretty tough competition this year.  I thought everybody deserved 1st place....it takes a lot of nerve to perform on stage.  We are very proud of her.....this was her 3rd year to enter but the first time she had placed !!!
A close-up of the ribbon !!!

Kimberly and her BFF Madeleine ... Miss Madeleine placed 1st runner-up in the adult vocals category !!!

Meeting new friends is always fun :)

A little practice ahead of time :)

Our weekend seemed almost like a whirlwind with so much going on but we had a great time and are so thankful to God for allowing us to be able to take part in these events!!!  Thank you for stopping by and hope each and every one of you have a great week :)
