Music filled weekend!!!

We had so much fun last night at the 47th annual "Granite Quarry Fiddler's Convention"!!!  Kimberly won "1st runner-up " on guitar...isn't that exciting? Yeah!...I thought so too :)  She was surprised and thrilled at the same time :))  Her lifelong friend "Madeleine" won "champion" in the vocal category!!! and another good friend "Tori" was the fiddlin' champ!!!  It's such a pleasure to meet up with folks we don't see all year....and pick and grin right along with them.  While the convention is going on there are always jam sessions going on in the back hallways , so it's easy to find a pickin' buddy :)) Papaw and Nana came to our rescue and let the younger three children spend the night with them and we didn't have to be home a certain time :))

Then today, Kimberly and Madeleine participated in the first talent show at "Midland Magic"!!!  The girls have worked very hard over the last several months to create their "very first" original tune "Every Tear"!!! I am so proud of them....they didn't place today but their performance was beautiful!!!
