~Our latest adventure!!!~

Took my first ever train ride this week!!! As long as I can remember that's something I have always wanted to do.  Call me adventurous. ....it's quite alright with me! I have no interest in flying but I love trains:) We boarded the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and took ourselves a little trip. The ride lasted about an hour each way.....the scenery was beautiful. There were lots of truck farms and the beautiful Tuckaseegee River.  We toured the quaint little town of Dillsboro. ....enjoyed some delicious ice cream.....visited a few pottery shops where the potters were at work. (Very interesting )......and my favorite was the handmade chocolate shop :)  Now I'm ready to go on the big train through Canada!!!  Hope you enjoy the pictures :)

July 28, 1989 :)

26 years ago today we were married!  Where has time gone?  That's quite a bit longer than I was single! Yes, I look back now and can't believe how young we were.  Haha.....don't wanna hear my children talking of marriage at the tender age of 19 :)  We have been blessed with six beautiful children and good health. Can't ask for more than that :) Happy Anniversary Johnny!!!

Happy Weekending!!!

Don't know where the week went......haha! I guess we are staying busier this summer than I thought :) It's a good kind of busy. ......we are in a serious drought so there's very little gardening. ......lots of swimming......gymnastics......music lessons.....a little band practice  (my favorite!) and when u add it all up no wonder time slips by so quickly :)  Work is going well.....I'm enjoying being off on Saturdays .  I wouldn't trade these long...hot...summer days with my children for anything!!! Y'all  have a great weekend!!!
